I have to preface the following quotes with the fact that I am not an objectivist. In fact, I think the whole philosophy rather short-sighted particularly in its need to exclude all other fellow beings their right to equally, and contemporaneously exist. That being said, after watching a few old talk-shows interviewing Ayn Rand, I couldn’t help but cheer for her amidst the stony gazes of the distraught (opium-addicted) masses. You go Rand.

It is entirely impossible for a thinking being to think of the termination of its thinking.

- Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

We aren’t corpses in graves. We are not there. Don’t you understand that when this life is finished, you’re not there to say, ‘Oh, how terrible that I’m a corpse.

- Ayn Rand

This is my personal favorite, a tiny, little uppercut of power-packed reason.

I will not die, it’s the world that will end.

- Ayn Rand
