Brent Ransom mycrazydream@gmail.com 404.520.7213 First, a little about me. I'll be the first to admit it. I'm a bit of a geek. I have a passion for web technologies and programming specifically. I love well-written code. Far from being one-sided, I play the guitar, sometimes performing, and also enjoy writing occasionally. Otherwise you're likely to catch me with a book or video-game controller in-hand. Sites that can be fully attributed to me include: http://www.pinnaclepromotions.com http://www.epromostore.com/eu * This would be an example of one of many web-stores that run on the ezpromostore platform. http://www.mycrazydream.net * Please view my wiki (http://www.mycrazydream.net/w) where I keep many code samples that can be read and downloaded. JOB EXPERIENCE 2007 ~ ongoing Pinnacle Promotions http://www.pinnaclepromotions.com * Web Systems Mgr/ Sr. Web Developer * All responsibilities entailed in running a large e-commerce website; design, development, optimization, marketing and management. Not only have I built the front-end website from the ground up, including the database (meticulously parsed from many xml and csv vendor data sources) and an easy-to-use CMS, I built an entire CRM (similar to Salesforce) that the sales force uses daily to manage contacts, projects, and leads that flow in directly from the website. Pinnacle also managed larger client programs, and to that end I developed and maintained a web platform for easily stamping out personalized web-stores, with full ordering functionality, inventory management and a sophisticated reporting and CMS backend. * Eventually I came to manage a team of developers and designers devoted to utilizing Model-View-Controller methodology in the development process. Separate Subversion repositories helped our department function efficiently with aid of a ticketing system and an internal wiki to document procedures and helpful code, references, and strategy. * X/D/HTML, CodeIgniter(PHP), jQuery(JS), Prototype(JS), AJAX(JS), mySQL, sqLite, CSS 2005 ~ june 2006 Signature Hospitality http://www.signaturesf.com * System Administrator / Production Artist * Unix Administration 2005 Decade Software http://www.decadesoftware.com * Web Developer * Web development as well as prototype engineer * ASP, JavaScript, CSS 2002 ~ june 2004 Loan Center of California http://www.rateprice.com * Web Developer * Helped to build and maintain Pipeline, a site where employees can store, edit and retrieve client and loan data. Designed Rateprice.com, so that brokers can develop pipelines of priced, on-the-fly loans to store and purchase on their own time. Helped to develop the server- side active scripts and added DHTML and CSS to help make the site XHTML compliant. Efficient teamwork on this project helped us meet strict deadlines. General network upgrades such as new web and database servers, new fax servers that run analog numbers of a DSL T1 connection. Slaved faxing to all email, printing, and scanning, allowing employees the ability to fax from anywhere with anything. * ASP, JavaScript, SQL, X/D/HTML, CSS 1998 ~ aug 2002 Anderson School of Business http://www.anderson.ucla.edu * Senior Technician * Advanced quickly evolving from a basic tehnician to a department leader.
